INTERNAL WALLS / PARTITIONS (In order of performance)

* UNDER PART E:- The internal wall requirement for the new Part E Regulations is 40 RwdB.
* An internal wall is defined as a wall between a bedroom or room containing a W.C. and other rooms.
* There is no Part E requirement for an internal wall that contains a door.
* Internal walls are not subject to pre-completion testing.
* With internal wall applications there is no Ctr adjusting factor required under Part E.

* The   Impact sound requirements for separating floors under the new Part E Regulations is 62 LnTw dB for New Build.
* The   Impact sound requirements for separating floors under the new Part E Regulations is 64 LnTw dB for Refurbishment
* A separating floor is defined as a floor separating one dwelling from another.
* Part E requirements for floors is subject to both impact and airborne regulations.
* Separating Floors are subject to pre-completion testing.
* With separating floors the Ctr adjusting factor is included under Part E.
* With Impact sound measurements remember the lower the figure the higher the performance.
