The following construction details have been tested and found to be in complinace with New Part E Building Regulations. The method detailed is as tested but certain medifications may be nessesary in certain non standard circumstances.

Floor should be swept and cleaned and checked for loose/damaged boards that must be replaced and properly screwed down. A caulking/sealing acoustic compound should be used to seal any air gaps and areas between the floor and skirting boards. battens should be cut to length (try to keep single lengths if possible) acoustic damping foam should be stuck to the batten and then layed down on the floor at maximum of 400mm distance.
